An actress attends an audition for a play only to be insulted and interrogated by the male casting director. Deciding to leave after much unnecessary probing, a female casting agent then enters to pacify the situation and lure the actress back into a (false) sense

of security.

The purpose of this project was to bring together voluntary and like-minded film folk around the Manchester region and produce a short film together that may lead on to additional productions in the future.

It was shot over the weekend of June 9-10th 2007 in New Mills, Derbyshire and edited/sound mixed by director Mark Withers using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

‘Meat Market’ cost less than £400 to make.
